Play in your browser

This is the full game, built for WebAssembly. It is the same code as the desktop version.

Play Un-Banished in your browser

You need the four game files from your own copy of Banished: data0.pkg, data1.pkg, patch0.pkg and patch1.pkg. They are in the game's WinData folder. Where is this folder?

  • Your files stay on your computer. The page reads them in your browser. It does not upload them.
  • Your saves stay in this browser. If you clear this site's data, you delete them.
  • Use a desktop browser with a keyboard and a mouse. We test in Chrome and Firefox. Edge should also work.
  • The game is about 8 MB. It downloads only when you press Start.
Open in its own tab

How to start

  1. Press Start the game. The game downloads (about 8 MB) and shows a Load your game data panel at the top left.
  2. Press Choose files. In your Banished WinData folder, select all four files at the same time: data0.pkg, data1.pkg, patch0.pkg and patch1.pkg. To select several files, hold Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac).
  3. Click the game once. Then the game receives your keyboard input, and it can play sound.

To find the WinData folder, or to get the game files on a Mac or a Linux PC, read Find your game data and Getting the game files in the setup guide.

Good to know

  • Saves, settings and mods are kept in this browser's storage for this site. They are not shared with the desktop version. If you clear this site's data, you delete them.
  • Mods: select the .pkm files together with the four .pkg files, or drag them onto the game at any time. Then turn them on in the Mods menu.
  • Screenshots (Print Screen or Scroll Lock) are downloaded by the browser.
  • Full screen gives the game the most room. Press Esc to leave full screen.
  • If the game does not start, read Troubleshooting, or report the problem.

The controls are the same as in the original game. They are listed in Controls.
